What I got For christmas 1

I can't believe Christmas has been and gone, I swear time speeds up on Christmas day as this year it just flew by. I thought I would do another one of these posts as last year you guys seem to enjoy reading it. As always a little disclaimer that I'm no way bragging or showing off just sharing some of the things I received for Christmas.

Smellies: This year I did very well in the smellies department, I was lucky enough to receive some lush items including the Festive Friends gift box which I've never  tried before, I was also treated to some Body shop smellies and hand creams. I also can't wait to try the neom bath oil set. My mum and nan bought me a couple of the Ghost perfumes which I always love wearing.

Candles: I love candles! So I always receive quite a few at Christmas as my family know me so well! I was lucky to receive a few yankee candles one being Christmas Candy which I've never had before. My mum treated me to a Jo molone candle in my favourite scent Pomegrante Noir. I did a little squeal when I saw the gift bag. It was packaged so lovely and it smells amazing I don't know if I can bring my self to burn it!

Clothing/Pjs and Socks: Fluffy socks and pj bottoms are a complete must at Christmas. I particularly like these red checked pjs as they are so soft and comfy. Lukes parents very kindly bought me my first Fred Perry polo top which I'm in love with. It's in a really nice maroon colour and I think I will get a lot of wear out of it.

Homeware: The duvet cover was another present from my mum its a lovely paisley print which is reversible and my nan bought me a really cosy patchwork blanket. My boyfriend bought me a candle holder decorated with butterflies and a Blue bird tea teapot! In a bright yellow colour, he also bought a strawberry tea cosy for it!

The river Island bag was a gift from my mum which im so pleased with, I love the shape of it as it's a structured square bag. My boyfriend was on a roll with gifts and treated me to another pandora ring. This one is a really simple, thin bow which I love as it will go with everything.

And this pretty much a round up of everything I got. I did receive some chocolates and gift vouchers but they aren't very pretty to take pictures of.

I hope everyone had a lovely christmas and that you enjoyed this post. Leave me your link if you also did a 'What I got for Christmas' blog post as  I love reading these types of posts.

My Top 3 Glitter Nail Polishes

Christmas glitters 1

Christmas isn't Christmas without a sparkly glittery nail polish, they are such a bugger to remove however they are so worth it as they look so pretty! I've chosen my top 3 glitter nail varnishes for Christmas.

First up we have Orly in luxe. This is a beautiful gold shimmery polish. It's nice as it doesn't have chunks of glitter in it, which means it's super easy to remove. It's nice and easy to apply and if your in a rush you can get away with only one coat and it dries really quickly!

Next up we have Essie toggle to the top. Now this is more of a traditional Christmas nail as it a lovely glittery red. It's quite a dark red which I think suits more people's skin tones and it also suits those who don't like to much of a bright red nail. This one has more chunks of glitter in it than a shimmer. You also will want to put a top coat on this one as the glitter does make your nails feel very rough.

Finally we have Essie in Beyond Cozy, this is a silver shimmer nail polish however the shimmery pieces in this polish as bigger than the Orly luxe ones. So it looks more sparkly on the nail. I think this is a lovely alternative to the more traditional red nail and I also thinks silver goes with most colours. This polish applies really easy you could also get away with only one coat if you wanted to.

Let me know which one was your favourite? And what colour nails you will be wearing on Christmas Day, I think I'm going to go for Essie beyond cozy.

Autumnal OOTD| Skater Style Dress.

I have an outfit of the day post for you today, these pictures were taken on a recent walk around Coate water country park, the weather is definitely starting to get a bit colder recently so I thought I would share one of my favourite outfits that I wear to keep me warm during this time of year. It's also super comfy and easy to wear which I always look for when clothes shopping.

Starting with the coat this is from Asos from the brand Only, it's a parka style coat with a faux fur hood, it's in a lovely wine colour which is perfect for autumn/winter its also quite thick which keeps you really warm. Moving onto the dress this dress is also from Asos from the brand Brave Soul it's in a charcoal grey colour which I think is a nice alternative to black, this dress is really flattering as it's a skater style dress. Tights are from Primark these are just 40 denier black tights not much more to say about these. The brogue styled boots are from Matalan's which are also from last year, I love these boots and have worn them too death they are so comfy and go with everything. Finally the bag is a Kate spade bag I bought this a few years ago as a present to myself for my 21st birthday, I must admit I don't use this bag a lot as I don't want it to get ruined which is pretty stupid so I think i'm going to make more of an effort to use it more. It's in a bright red colour which brightens the whole outfit, it's a square shape which fits loads in.

What to do you think of this OOTD? Do you also choose comfort when clothes shopping?

Brown Smokey Eye Makeup Tutorial

Brown Smoky eye make up tutorial
Sleek Eye Palette Makeup Look

During this time of the year I like to switch my make up a bit and wear slighter darker tones on my eyes and lips. When I think of autumnal makeup I think deep berry reds, brown and golds on the eyes. So with that in mind I created the above look.

To start the look of for my base I used Rimmel's radiance BB cream, I find this really easy to use as it blends in really easily I do this with my real techniques buffing brush. I like a bit of a glow to my makeup especially in the winter as things can look a bit more dull. As this BB cream is the radiance edition it adds a suble glow to your skin which is perfect. Sticking with rimmel I used the wake me up concealer under my eyes this is also illuminating which is perfect if you suffer with dark circles.

To cover any blemishes I used the seventeen Phwoarr paint which is more of a thicker creamer concealer, I find this stays put on blemishes and redness all day. I then moved on to my highlight and contour, for this I used my sleek contour palette in light. This palette is a perfect colour for me as I can use anything too dark for my contour as im pretty pale, this contour blends in really easily and I do this using my contour brush also from real techniques. I then dusted the highlight shade over my cheekbones just to add more of a glow.

I normally use anastasia dipbrow to fill in my eyebrows but recently I have been using eyeshadows as it gives a slighter softer look to do this I used the dark brown which is on the bottom row and the third one in, I just applied this using an angled brush and a light hand, as always I brush through my brows using a clear mascara to keep them in place.

Onto the eye-shadow now so to start I used a fairly neutral shade all over the lid, the one I chose was on the top row, second in. I then used the the brown I used on my brows in the crease on my eyelid and then will a fluffy brush blended those two colours together. These eye shadows are pretty pigmented so you don't need a lot on your brush and then blend together really easily. To finish off the eyes I coated them with Gosh amazing length and build mascara, this is a pretty new purchase and im really enjoying using it, I like the look it gives as it doesn't leave the eyelashes clumpy in fact it combs through the lashes really easily.

To finish the whole look of I used rimmel 08 lipstick which is from the kate moss's line, this a neutral pinky brown which I think is a nice alternative to a berry lip, as much as I love a berry lip I like to wear something slightly different sometimes and as we had gone fairly dark on the eyes I wanted to keep the lip more neutral .

I hope you enjoyed this look, I really enjoyed creating it and I think this will be a look I will be wearing quite often, obviously you can make it as dark or as light as you want, you could also add some eyeliner as well if you wanted to add more definition to the eyes.

Leave me a comment below if there are any other makeup looks you would like me to create.
